what are some different things I can put in pasta alfredo?!

Question: What are some different things I can put in pasta alfredo?
I want to spice it up a little bit. Is there any vegetable (besides peas) that I can put in the pasta (no meat). I heard about putting zucchini in it. I love zucchini but i'm not sure what it'll taste like in the pasta. Any help please?

Easy 10 points :)

Answers:

zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach, asparagus
toasted pine nuts or almonds or walnuts

You can put any vegetable you want in because the alfredo sauce will mask their taste. Try broccoli, some shredded carrots, and even shrimp for protein.

I like chopped cilantro with any kind of pasta, It adds a nice bit of color to the pasta too.

'Tis the season for asparagus. Thin slices of zucchini would taste great.

Peppers mushrooms and squash are very good in alfredo

Finely chopped onions, garlic, cilantro, and you can add mushrooms in there too

broccoli, asparagus, peppers carrots?

If you like it try tuna, shrimp & fresh steamed green beans for crunch.I add tuna for Fridays with no meat.
