Can I add honey to a wheat bread mix to make honey wheat bread?!

I have Krusteaz cracked wheat bread mix and I plan to do the oven baking method. I have never baked bread before so I am just curious if I can tweak this bread however I want (adding spices, honey, or other flavors) or if that will harm the recipe too much. I checked the website and there are recipes for the kind I have that involve adding things like italian herbs or diced up dried tomato. Honey is in liquid form though so is it okay to add just regular honey or is there another way I should go about this?
