Best Steak Seasoning For Steak House Flavor!?!

Question:

Best Steak Seasoning For Steak House Flavor!?

I once found the best steak seasoning in Big Lots. I don't remember the brand, but the resulting flavor was as good as the finest steak houses I've been to. I no longer can get this seasoning, and I would love to find a similar spice product.

I have many recipes for rubs and marinades, but I'd love to find the best COMMERCIAL seasoning to put on my steak before cooking.

If you've also searched for the best steak seasoning, I'd love see your results. People who've only used one seasoning all their lives (like Lawry's Seasoned Salt) need not reply. I'm looking for people who are as determined as I am to find the best of the best! :>)

Thanks!

McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning is the Best!!!

4 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon dehydrated onion
1/2 tablespoon dried garlic
1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tablespoon dried thyme
1/2 tablespoon dried rosemary
1/2 tablespoon dried fennel

mix and store.

Montreal Steak seasoning by McCormick....
THE best!!

If it is a nice thick cut, I like a little worcestershire sauce, pepper and kosher salt. I hate to cover up the great taste of a quality cut. These seasonings enhance it without overpowering.

I don't know....I usually use hickory smoke salt and Lea & perrins

Lightly sprinkle garlic powder (not garlic salt) and rub it in. Then use montreal steak seasoning as mentioned previously. I have tried just about everything and this is my favorite.

canadian steak seasoning at sams club

No matter what seasonings you decide to use it is the grilling that adds that smokehouse flavor that you get at places like Longhorn etc...
Traditional charcoal grilling and not gas grilling (although foods cooked upon those are tasty) is what makes it taste grate. Experiment with different chips (mesquite, hickory etc...)
Always start with a great cut of meat and that is half of your battle. Mccormick makes a great steak seasoning which is comprised of the standard trinity that brings out the flavor and doesn't cover it up especially if you grill it. Also, marinade with a quality worcestershire sauce . Don't overdo it or it will over power the flavor of the steak too.

I'm assuming that you are cooking on a grill or pit but this would work even in the oven.
2 tablespoons sea salt
2 tablespoons lemon pepper
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 teaspoons coarse black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder

mix together and rub on steak. Allow the steaks to come to room temperature before putting them on the grill. Here is a little trick you might like. Mix
5 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice

After you turn the steaks over the first time, coat the top of each steak with this mixture. When the steaks are done, coat the other side. You can even put a little on right before you serve the steaks. It provides a great color and juicy look to the steaks and tastes incredible. Good luck.

It is called KC Masterpiece Steakhouse Marinade. Poke with a fork & cover with sauce & marinade for at least 3 hrs. Overnight is better. I prefer it cooked on the grill med rare.

try some olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, & liquid smoke

I have personally found that Dale's marinade is great to use... I also put vegetables on the grill such as potatoes and it's great to use on them also... Just don't use too much... I found this at the local grocery store...
