Whats a good way to make a slushie?

blender doesn't do it so great.

go buy a slushie machine! or just use the blender and add juice or some kind of favor!

8 cups cubed seeded watermelons
1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
6 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed (1 can)
mint sprigs, optional

1.Place watermelon in a large bowl; cover and freeze.
2.Place half of frozen watermelon, half of powdered sugar, and half of concentrate in a blender, and process until smooth.
3.Serve while cold.
4.Do the same procedure with the other half of the ingredients.


or just go and freeze juice for a couple up hours then beat it until its like a slushie!

A shlushy machine!

some juice drink and just crush a lot of ice and mix it

Get one of those special slushie maker. They have them at linens and things i think or bed bath and beyond (I THINK). they usually come with syrup and everything! You just have to wait for the water to freeze...

if you have a fridge with the ice maker , make it "crushed ice" and then pur your juice in it.

it sorta resembles a sno cone more than a slushie

the slushy blender I use works great,with assistance.crushed ice and liquid just above ice level and you have best margaritas/slushies around

blender 2 large scoops of ice 4 to 5 ounces of mix of blend add more mix if to thickadd fruit mix again drink.the small amount of mix added with blender on will do the trick if you do it right.

I love it in a blender... has to be a good, hardy machine w/ a glass container, not el-cheapo plastic.

I like to use 1 can of frozen fruit juice concentrate (concord grape is fab!), 1 can of water and about 1? cans ice. Slowly step up the speed of the machine until it's on puree. Stop and stir or add a bit more water if you get an air bubble around the blades.

1 qt. cranberry juice
6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
1 pt. frozen raspberries
3 c. water
7-Up

Mix the cranberry juice, lemonade, raspberries, water and 1 cup of 7-Up; freeze in an ice cream pail.

To serve: Place 2-3 spoons of the raspberry slush in a tall glass and fill to the top with 7-Up.

If it's made of a juice, like lemonade or fruit juice, pour it in a cup/container and stick it in the freezer for an hour or so. Juices usually dont entirely freeze in a few hours, so when you take it out, mix it with a spoon and it should be a slushie. I've done it with lemonade and it's worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you. Just keep checking on it every half hour or so in case it does freeze.

Lori's Southern Style Lemonade Slushie:

1 hour 15 min prep
12 servings

6 whole lemons, cut in half and juiced,reserve juice and empty lemon rind shells for later use
1 lemon, cut into garnishing slices (1/8" thick)
3/4 gallon ice
1/2-3/4 cup lemon juice (store bought kind is terrific)
1 cup Splenda sugar substitute
36 small red raspberries
12 sprigs large leaf mint

1. You will also need: 6 straws, cut in half.
2. Place ice in a blender, add all ingredients except for the whole slicing/garnishing lemon, red raspberries, mint and empty lemon shells.
3. Blend all ingredients until completely smooth.
4. Fill each lemon rind shell full with the lemon slushie.
5. Place 3 red raspberries, mint sprig and lemon slice decoratively atop the lemon slushie.
6. Add straw.
7. Place in freezer (yes, the straw and all) for about 30-45 mins just enough to ice craze the slushie and allow the berries to slightly freeze.

Slush
26 ounces vodka
7 cups water
1 (341 ml) can frozen orange juice
1 cup sugar
1 (341 ml) can frozen lemonade
1/2 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple

1. Dissolve sugar in warm water.
2. Add all ingredients and stir.
3. Then freeze (a gallon plastic ice cream pail is ideal).
4. Serve: Use 3 tablespoons in glass, fill with 7-Up and garnish with a cherry or a drop of cherry juice.
