Too much liquid in my cake mixture. what do i do?!?!?!


Question:

Too much liquid in my cake mixture. what do i do?!?!?

after putting in the cake mixture, i realised i put about 50% too much cream in. oops
it is now still runny after being in there 10 minutes longer than instructed

should i just wait it out and hope it dries up?

i put foil over the top so the top doesnt burn....

Foil is going to hold in the moisture. Decrease the heat by at least 50 degrees. I don't know if it will work, but I know that foil will keep the cake moist.

Try folding in some extra flour, spoonful at a time, and sugar too.Keep folding it in, until you get the correct consistency.If you have too much mixture for the tin, make a smaller pudding with the leftover mix.

Add more cake mix to thicken it, maybe you can use a little flour to do the job instead.
Otherwise, start over.

Gradually sift and fold some more flour into it until you get the right consistency

Add flour (self rising)--it will soak up the wetness!

don't do it next time!

Serve it in cups or toss it out and start over

Drain it out! Xx

add more S/R flour and marg

if you put to much liquid, the only thing you can do is add more flour!

Throw in a handful of polyfiller, works for me every time and it gives a meal, man appeal..................
Or, use the cake to make a trifle and start again.
