If you had the ultimate hotdog, what toppings would you choose?!

Question:

If you had the ultimate hotdog, what toppings would you choose?

My favorite I ever had was in Telico Plains TN, at a place called the beach. They had home made 12 inch hot dogs with a 12 inch baked on premises bun. Topped with a spicy chili sauce and finely chopped creamy coleslaw. It was wierd at first and I wouldnt try it, but when I did it was the best flavor combo I ever had. I live in NY and there are great hot dog places in the city, but nothing comes close to that one hotdog.

Answers:
have you ever tried a chicago styl dog? They are fantastic
Classic Chicago Hot Dog

8 Vienna all-beef hot dogs
2 pounds Idaho potatoes, unpeeled and straight cut (3 inches long by 1/2-inch thick)
8 hot dog buns with poppy seeds
1 cup minced onions
1 cup brunoise fresh tomatoes, seeded
1 cup yellow mustard
1 cup sweet pickle relish
Sport peppers, to taste
Celery salt, to taste

Preheat the fryer. Fill a stock pot 3/4 of the way full with water and bring to a boil. Add the hot dogs, reduce the heat to a simmer and cover. Cook until the hot dogs are plump, about 6 to 8 minutes. Fry the potatoes until golden brown, about 4 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally for even browning. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Place the hot dogs in the buns. Start topping the hot dogs with 2 tablespoons of each: onions, tomatoes, mustard and relish. Top with sport peppers to taste and sprinkle a little celery salt on top. Place each hot dog in the center of a piece of deli wrap. Place the fries next to the hot dog. Wrap the dog and the fries up tightly and serve

puppy ears, baby feet and unbroken hymen.

Id choose a pepperoni pizza for the ultimate topping.

my hotdog choice is a steamy with finely chopped onion, relish, ketchup, mustard and creamy coleslaw.

Edit: Yes Maddy I am. LMAO that you could tell that from my hotdog preference.

My fave is saurkraut, mustard and onions. I love a nice soft bun, too!

Chicago style for sure! With a little bit of everything. Mayo, pickles, the whole nine yards. There is nothing better than a true Chicago Style hot-dog.

haha...
I'm boring...just the usual ketchup and mustard here..

Slaw dogs are really tasty! However, my preference is for the skinless dog with mustard down each side of the dog then red or green chili on top with bavarian sauerkraut on top.

I love chili dogs with spicy mustard, onions, cheese, jalepenos, and hot sauce.

hot chilli, chopped onions, and 3 types of cheese

I like some mustard, ketchup, slices of dill pickle, slaw (but not creamy!!) and cheddar cheese melted in the bun.
I want one now!!!

** tee, are you from montreal?!**

thousand dollar bills..........

mine is raw liver and salted herring... I also put honey on mine... yummmmmyyyy!!!

I love hotdogs with Chili&Cheese, chopped red onions, jalepenos, sourkraut, and spicy brown mustard!

I love grilled hot dogs wrapped in bacon, topped with mayo, mustard, sauted yellow onions, sliced red onions, sweet relish, jalapenos, and a touch of b.b.q. sauce... Tha "BOMB"..!

fried cheese, another smaller hot dog, mustard

tomato sauce an onions, mmmmmmmm what would l give for one right now-yum yum.

named best dog ever.

Pile on the toppings in this order: yellow mustard, sweet green pickle relish, onion, tomato wedges, pickle spear, sport peppers, and celery salt. The tomatoes should be nestled between the hot dog and the top of the bun. Place the pickle between the hot dog and the bottom of the bun. Don't even think about ketchup!

Tijauna/Mexico style are the best!
The hot dog is wrapped in cooked bacon and slightly grilled then a steamed bun w/ mayo, onion, tomatos, light ketchup, light jalapenos and yum yum.

Sauerkraut, Mayo, Mustard and Relish

For my ultimate hotdog, ill take

1. Broken up BBQ flavored chips
2. Salsa
3. grated cheese
4. Honey mustard on top.

YUMMMMMM

I've had Boston baked beans on a hot dog. I know you are not supposed to put kechup on a hotdog, but I love the ketchup, saurkraut combination. That is my favorite.

Many years ago, in Dallas, Texas, at a store named, "H.L.Greens", across the street from Neiman Marcus, there was a separate counter next to the lunch counter where this black lady made hot dogs all day long. They were the best. She told me the secret to a good hot dog was how it was put together. Soft bun spread with ball park mustard, a layer of pickle relish spread over the mustard, next a sprinkling of onion, the weenie (all beef, of course-which I doubt it was) and a moderate layer of chili con carne and lastly, a layer of cheddar cheese. They were mighty tasty. Since then, I've had hot dogs in every conceivable way ... All good! But, the very best hot dogs use only Vienna Products' all beef frankfurters ... Those are the greatest franks and I wish I knew where to buy them packaged in Houston, Texas. Anyone know? In fact, I think I'll ask Yahoo ......

ketchup, mustard, chopped onions, diced tomato, sauerkraut, and chili....not too creative perhaps but a classic

Bacon, cheese, lettuce, fried onions, mustard, relish, and ketchup.
