What is the most useless kitchen appliance and why?!

Question:

What is the most useless kitchen appliance and why?

Answers:
Sandwich toaster - nightmare to clean, contents of sandwich get nuclear hot and burn you, plus you already have a perfectly good grill on your oven.

me :D yehhh

the wife! she does not know how to cook or work the oven, washing machine or anything else!

a wonkle - it just doesn't work

car jack and axle stands. i can't fit my car through the kitchen door!

food dehydrator. Trust me, NEVER gets unsed, and it's bulkey. Second most useless is the 7 pice knife set, cuz chances are you'll never use the knife for what it's ment, you'll just grab one of the big ones.

males.

AK-47

The micro wave. Real cooks don't use them.

The dishwasher... sorry... I rather wash the dishes by hand... they come out cleaner with no scratches on them.

Oh and the spatula... I rather use a fork, knife, or spoon... that way I can taste the food.

Can opener. Most things come with pop-tops now-a-days.

my mrs

The toaster and electric can opener. Pain in the a-- to clean.

WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!!

Breadmaker, makes terrible bread and takes up space. Useless.

Mellon baller - who actually uses those things?

An egg timer. The most simple way to know if an egg is done boiling is to spin it. If it spins fast it is done. If it wobbles its not. 5 minutes in boiling water does the trick for hard boiled. 2-3 minutes for soft boiled.

juicer, because its a waste of money and space all u have to do is take a piece of fruit and sqeeze it......who uses those things anyways?

A dull knife. If you need to know why, dull a knife and try to slice just about anything. It has to be one of the most frustrating things in a kitchen!

The man!

This is a hard question for me since I use most of my kitchen appliances. My first answer would be our 2nd toaster but the thing I have yet to get to work is the shrimp deveiner.

I would have to say my AIR popcorn popper,,,,,,,,,,,,,much easier and convenient to use the microwave. Talk about a space hog.

Egg separators, since each and every egg comes neatly packaged in it's own separator - the shell.

a Fry Daddy deep fryer

I got given a waffle iron at Christmas time, I have never used it as the recipe calls for so many eggs that I would probably die of high cholesterol after eating one batch.

I think it depends on the person in the kitchen. We have a rice cooker... I hate using it. It is useless to me as a rice cooker. My husband loves it. Someone else said bread maker. I have made over 200 loaves of bread in mine and would not trade it for the world. Someone else said dishwasher, it was useless to me until I had a baby, now we use it to sterilise everything.

For some it was the can opener, obviously not someone that ever takes short cuts or uses canned tuna or evaporated milk, but for them that is useless.

Basically, it all depends on your culinary background and how comfortable you feel with an appliance. For the most part, if I do not think I will use it, or I can use a piece of equipment (or a pot or pan) for the same cooking process, I do not buy it.

a full kenwood!!!
it takes up space & IF you decide to use it you change ur mind coz u know it has to be cleaned up after!!!!

Sense I only use my blender once every 3 or 4 yrs. I will say blender.

Dishwasher, by the time you've loaded it, you could have washed up by hand anyway and they dont come out as clean.

garlic press!whats that all about!
