What are the differences between an omelette pan and a skillet?!

Question:

What are the differences between an omelette pan and a skillet?

Someone wants to buy me one and I have skillets. Is nonstick something to opt for? Thanks in advance.

Answers:
Size is the major issue, along with the sides of an omlet pan beig a little lower to aide in flipping. Both are nice to have. I love using mine for frying eggs.

Non stick and it will flip over if you are really good at it

r u kidding you make omelets in an omelette pan and you make something else in a skillet lol

Generally the omelet pan has a steeper slope in the sides of the pan

An omelette pan has lower straight sides.
I like a square-shaped griddle for bacon & omelettes.
Non-stick (Teflon) doesn't last forever, heat destroys it.
If somebody else is buying go for the stainless steel.

An omelette 'skillet' is usually a little deeper to hold all the ingrediants that may be contained. It is also helpful to flip and catch the omelette.

they have omelet pans that have two compartments you put your ing. on one side then close it and you can cook it on both sides i prefer pans
korkie

omelet pan is generally smaller, say 7' or 8' in diameter, has a more 'bowl' shape to it and yes, non-stick is preferable
