I don't eat cook or eat chicken, so I have no idea.
Answers:
it will end up crisper than with flour. the chinese coat with corn starch. think general chow's chicken. try going half/half first. don't forget to season the mixture. salt, pepper, garlic powder is pretty standard. soak the chix. in seasoned buttermilk for a few hours first. pat dry and toss with flour mix. cook in corn or peanut oil. yum
Yes you can, I do it all the time in asian dishes.
I tried it once with cornmeal because i ran out of flour and didn't feel like going to the store. It was horrible, so I would say no.
NO!!! Corn starch is used as a thickening agent...you do NOT want to fry with it. Instead of flour try bread crumbs or cracker crumbs. You can even use corn flakes or potato chips crumbled up. You will need to use some "glue" to keep the crumbs on though...try buttermilk or a beaten egg.
You can, but it's not going to have the same golden brown, crispy texture that you would with flour. Some people prefer it like that so it up to your preference.
Sure, go ahead!!!!!!!!!! You don't eat or make chicken so you must be cooking for someone else and only a guy would make ya think of makin' a new recipe for a Friday. So go ahead and fry it up and serve it up.....If he eats it ya will know he's serious..........................
