Question:

How long should i cook a rib eye steak on a steak pan ?

Answers:
Depends on how well you want it done and how thick it is. For a 1 inch thick steack, to cook medium-rare, I'd say 6 minutes on each side.

I LOVE ribeyes and that's the only red meat I grill.

depends on how you like your meat cooked. Either way you can take a knife and cut into the steak to see how ready it is.
I would say cook it for about 6 minutes on each side. but its really up to how you like your steak cooked.

Less than three days. Trust me on this!

It really depends upon how you want it done. The rule of thumb around here is to flip it only once.

Get your pan hot before putting the steak in, so you can sear it - yum! Once the steak is in the pan, turn it down to medium.

For rare, cook 3 minutes on the first side, 2 on the second.

For medium, cook 5 minutes on the first side, 3 on the second.

For well, cook 8 minutes on the first side, 5 on the second.

But, cut into it to make sure - your stove may be different than mine.

Other stuff - sea salt and cracked pepper is the best on steak.

To get a restaurant taste to your steak, rub with butter and a bit of bacon grease before cooking.

Buy an instant read thermometer- because it depends on the actual temp of your range/stove. For Rib eyes- one GREAT method is to heat the pan ( an overproof one, like cast iron) to searing hot, season the rib eye with salt, pepper and some garlic, and sear for 1 minute per side, then put in a 375 degree oven for 10 minutes or until you thermometer reads rare steak- perfect steak!

Season with olive oil, salt and pepper only. Make sure the steak is at room temp then put it on a VERY hot PAN. Cook it 5 - 6 minutes a side. Then let it sit out on the counter covered with tin foil for another 5 minutes. This will be the best steak you've ever had at home!

BRING THE STEAK TO ROOM TEMP./SEASON WITH SALT AND PEPPER (FRESH GROUND IF POSSIBLE THEN SEAR COOK ON HIGH HEAT 3 MINUTES PER SIDE FOR MED. DONE IF THE STEAK IS APPROX. I " TO 1& 1/2" THICK.

well it depends on how you like it bloody med or overcooked to get it med about 2.25 min on each side at a high heat
