Answers:
Homemade Garlic Bread

1 16-ounce loaf of Italian bread or French bread
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
2 large cloves of garlic, smashed and minced
1 heaping tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Method 1 - Toasted

1 Preheat oven to 350°F.

2 Cut the bread in half, horizontally. Mix the butter, garlic, and parsley together in a small bowl. Spread butter mixture over the the two bread halves. Place on a sturdy baking pan (one that can handle high temperatures, not a cookie sheet) and heat in the oven for 10 minutes.

3 Remove pan from oven. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over bread if you want. Return to oven on the highest rack. Broil on high heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges of the bread begin to toast and the cheese (if you are using cheese) bubbles. Watch very carefully while broiling. The bread can easily go from un-toasted to burnt.

4 Remove from oven, let cool a minute. Remove from pan and make 1-inch thick slices. Serve immediately.

Method 2 - Soft
Preheat oven to 350°F. Make the butter, garlic, parsley mixture as above. Make 1-inch thick slices into the bread, but do not go all the way through, just to the bottom crust. Put a teaspoon or two of the butter mixture between each slice. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and heat for 15 minutes in the oven.

Um its pretty easy to make. you need fresh bread or some thats not too old
1 cut them into reasonable size pieces
2 spread some butter on it- get room temperature butter and add some basil to it
3 after spreading the butter, add cheese optional (mozzerella)
4 rub with half a garlic clove for more taste, spinkle some garlic powder on it

The authentic way is to slice a loaf of Italian or french bread length wise, toast in a 350 Degree oven for about 15 minutes, or until lightly brown.
Peel and half a clove of fresh garlic, then simply rub the clove of garlic over the toasted surface. The bread has to be toasty crisp for this to work properly. Then simply drizzle with olive oil and enjoy!

Mince 3 cloves of garlic and mix it with butter or margarine and a little parsley. Spread on your Italian or French bread and bake. You can add cheese and bacon if you like.

I make it 2 ways--both are excellent. You need a loaf of french bread for either one.
Cut 1" slices in the loaf, don't cut all the way through. Thickly butter one side of each slice and sprinkle with garlic powder. Wrap the loaf in foil, leaving the top open so it can get crispy. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. YUMMY!!

OR...
Slice all the way through, butter both sides of the slices lightly, and sprinkle with garlic powder. Bake on a cookie sheet at 400 for 10 minutes, turn over, then another 10 minutes in the oven. This one is crispier, while the first is softer.
Sprinkle a bit of dried parsley on if you want some color.

I have a good and easy one. Use Italian or French bread cause it will stand up to the melted butter better than regular bread. Cut bread into thick slices. Melt real butter or oleo in saucepan. Add in garlic salt/garlic powder, stir to dissolve. Dip bread slices into the melted butter mixture on each side. Put prepared slices onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 until golden. Watch carefully so it doesn't get to dark. It browns quickly once it gets started. This is so good. Yummo

Homemade Garlic Cheddar Cheese Bread:

3? hours 2? hours prep
2 loaves

2 1/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter
6 cups flour, more as necessary to correct stickiness
2 packages active dry yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon garlic powder (I use more!)

1. Heat milk and butter to 120°F Combine half of flour, yeast, sugar, salt, milk and butter mixture, cheese, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
2. Knead with a mixer fitted with a dough hook at highest speed for 3 minutes.
3. Add the rest of the flour and continue kneading for 3 more minutes.
4. If the dough seems too sticky, slowly add more flour until the stickiness is corrected.
5. Place dough in a greased bowl, and spray the top of the dough with cooking spray.
6. Cover and let rise for one hour.
7. Punch the dough down and let it rest for 10 minutes.
8. Divide dough in half and form one loaf each in two greased 9 x 5 inch standard loaf pans.
9. Cover the pans with plastic wrap and allow dough to rise for 45-60 minutes.
10. Preheat oven to 375°F Bake loaves for 10 minutes; then turn oven down to 350F and bake for 30-35 minutes longer, until the breads are browned.
11. Cool in the pans for 5-10 minutes; turn out onto a wire rack and allow to cool for a minimum of 5-10 more minutes so the bread firms up enough to be cut.

Use a good loaf bread, such as French bread or Sourdough.
Slice lengthwise so that you have two long pieces (finish slicing for serving after baked) or slice into individual slices before baking.

Top with mixture and bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or to desired browness

Topping suggestions:

1. Melt a stick of butter / margarine with a 2 tablespoons of chopped garlic spread onto bread (determine amount of garlic to use based on how much you like garlic - add more or less) and spread onto the white soft parts of the bread

2. Follow suggestion #1, add parsley to mixture and after spreading onto bread, sprinkle bread with parmesan cheese and paprika.

3. Follow suggestion #2, only also sprinkle shredded cheese on top - use mozzerella, cheddar, or a mexican cheese blend

4. Follow suggestion one for basic garlic bread - after it is baked, top with bruschetta mix of diced tomatoes, basil, chopped garlic - even mozzerella cheese

*Some people prefer garlic powder or salt over fresh garlic - to me, fresh garlic has the best flavor.
** if you didn't want to melt the butter first, you could just spread the butter over the top of the bread and then add the garlic on top of that (layer remaining ingredients accordingly) - the butter will melt in the oven when you bake it (the advantage of melting the butter before hand with the garlic is that you actually create garlic butter - more flavor).

Good luck!

Buy a loaf of french bread, cut it in half lengthwise. I usually buy the jars of minced garlic, I take one stick of softened butter in a small bowl and I add as much minced garlic as I like, which is usually a lot, cuz I love garlic. Then I spread the butter mixture on the bread halves. Put them on a baking sheet side by side with butter side up and bake them in a 325 degree oven 10 to 15 minutes depending on how brown you like it. You can sprinkle it with parmesan if you like also.
