I made my own graham craker crust how do I know when its down?


Answers:
It's done when the butter melts into the graham and the crust has just a slight brown to it, 10 minutes @ 375. An egg wash will help seal your crust and keep your fill product from saturating

Also, it is not neccessary to bake, many cheesecakes anbd key lime pies dont require a baked crust, simply form the crust, pour in the flling and backe.
for *shudder* no-bake style cheesecakes, an unbaked crust is usually best.
