Why is there no cholesterol is wheat bread?!

Question:

Why is there no cholesterol is wheat bread?

or in white bread.

Answers:
There is cholesterol in wheat and white bread. There is a government "standard of measure" that goes only so low that if you are under that measurement then you can say "cholesterol free" and still be within the standards of true advertising

It's my understanding that only foods that are made with animal products/additives contain cholesterol. Plants (grains) do not contain cholesterol; only animals do.

Why not? Remember that any food that has egg or egg products such as egg whites, butter, cream in it will have some amount of cholesterol.

Store bought white bread has almost no nutritional value in it and may only have straight flour, leavening and sugar. After years of being criticized, at least they can now brag about not having any cholesterol.
Better quality breads almost always have a low amount of cholesterol because of the better ingredients.

Check out the cholesterol content on these bagel according to size, based on the fact that their ingredients had eggs.
Bagels, egg 89 4" bagel 21
Bagels, egg 71 3-1/2" bagel 17

Only breads that contain butter and/or eggs will also have cholesterol!

There would be no cholesterol in any bread unless the bread maker adds lard. Wheat is a vegetable and vegetables have no cholesterol.
