Answers:
slice it into 2 inch sections. put it in a pan with half a cup full of water and a couple of tablespoons worth of sugar. it's best if u do not bring it to a fast boil, as u risk burning the sugar. u need it to simmer gently until it has gone soft, but not so soft that it's turned to mush.... u can taste it when it's cooked, and add extra sugar if it's needed. also, a little ginger or cinnamon goes well with rhubarb - but only half a teaspoon, or it will overpower the flavour of the rhubarb.
by the way - if there's a lot of liquid in the pan after cooking it, u can strain some of the excess liquid off.
good luck !

The basic way to cook rhubarb is to stew it very much like cooking cranberries. Add about 1/4 cup water and sugar to taste (1/2 to 1 cup) to a pound of cut-up rhubarb. Cover and cook gently about 5 to 10 minutes. Be careful not to let the rhubarb disintegrate.
You gently stew it in a pan but not aluminium. The acid in the rhubarb reacts with the metal. It will taste foul but your pan will very clean and shiny. Use glass, enamel, stainless steel.
A piece of orange zest, or ginger will go well with rhubarb when you stew it. Add plenty of sugar at the start of the cooking.
Put it in a pan of water bring to the boil then simmer untill soft.
chop it into small pieces, put just enough lemonade in the pan to cover the bottom then put the rhubarb in an sprinkle with sugar if necessary. cook very slowly and stir gently to stop it sticking. if your counting calories use diet lemonade. you can add ginger or lemon or orange rind.
hi first of all get a sauce pan cut the ends of the rhubarb off and slice ... add a small amount of water, lemon and sugar and simmer till you get it nice and smooth, then just add custard
