Is the sauce the only difference with bake versus roast chicken?
I can't seem to know the difference except that one has a sauce on it. how are they both done?
Answers:
Roasting is the process of cooking something at a high heat without moisture. Baking is done at a lower temp and can have sauce or not.
i don't think it has anything to do with the sauce. baked is in an oven and roasted is from a rotisserie.
when you bake a chicken the way you bake it can be with or without sauce...a roasted chicken which may be also baked usually is cooked differently in a rotisorery which turns around cooking the skin of the bottom of the chicken as well as the top, but can also have a sauce incorporated to it...one of the best ways I have found to have the best of both is to first wipe the bird with olive oil and then spices garlic, onion powder, spike(which is a wonderful all around spice) and put it in a bakiing pan with veggies around it also sprinkled with spices a cup of water in the bottem and let it bake at 350 for 45 min making sure you put more water in mid way..it makes the skin crisp and keeps all the juices inside...everyone love it this way that has had it and it is quick and easy for me...hope it helps
