How long does it take to cook a shoulder of lamb??
Answers:
wrap in foil...put on gas number 4 and cook slowly for approx four hours...
fried chicken
depends on how big it is. I usually spice it up and roast it for a couple of hours, basting it regularly, and when it looks done, nicely brown on top I use my meat thermometer to check for degree of doneness.
It should take two hours, depends if you like it a bit pink, one and a half hours.
Four hour is right, But next time get the leg it's a thousand times better, Add alot of fresh garlic, And get me a beer while your in the kitchen. Thanks dear.
Bone in or out? It makes a big difference!
Wrap in foil with a sprig of rosemary and cook at the rate of 25 minutes to every pound in weight. For the last half hour, unwrap the foil and let it cook well on the outside.
about1and a half hrs,wrapped in foil
Place in a roasting tin but do not cover and cook on gas no.4 for 25 minutes per 450g (1Ib) plus 25 minutes. If you cover with foil the cooking time will need to be adjusted as foil is a heat conductor.
Cook the shoulder in foil at 25 minutes per pound weight at 400F. Then open the foil to allow the outside to brown.
Before cooking, rub the outside of the meat with a mixture of sea salt, ground black pepper and rosemary, add a vidalia onion, quartered, and a couple of stalks of celery.
Take the meat out of the oven and place it on a rack for about five minutes before carving.
Serve with hunter sauce or black peppercorn gravy.
