Grilling Fresh Fish?!

Question:

Grilling Fresh Fish?

I've recently received a George Foreman Grill and was wondering if it would be good to cook my catch of the day yesterday Walleye and Catfish.Any suggestions or recipies?

Answers:
salt, pepper, fruity extra virgin olive oil & grill away

If cat fish fillets are thick enough (.05 in or better) they will work great. I am not sure about walleye as I have never cooked or eaten it. The fattier the fish (salmon/mackeral) will do wonderfully....

I've never eaten walleye and the only way I've had catfish is fried. I'm sure both would do well on your GF Grill, but make sure to lightly cover it in oil and season well.

If they are whole fish, season and bake in the oven, wrapped in foil

Spray both sides of fillet with oil, season and place on a medium hot grill for about 5 minutes, checking after 3.
You will see the fish turning milky white, and when you see milky juice coming from the surface it is done.
Allow to rest for a few minutes, and serve with a squeeze of lemon, lime or some malt vinegar.
