Garam Masala is a mixture of different spices. Try your supermarket, spice section

It's a type of sauce from India. Look in the international section of the grocery store or go to a specialty shop.

GRAM MALASIS,

it's an indian spice. Garam means hot, and masala means spice. So basically Garam Masala is a spice that makes things hot. You'll find it at ALL Indian grocery stores. It's very very common. Just go into the store and ask for the smallest package of Garam Masala. It'll come as a reddish powder.

You can make you own sort of use the following:

Black pepper
Cloves
Cinnamon
Brown cardamom (if you have it)
Cumin seeds (or powder)
Bay leaves
Coriander seeds

To me it smells like cinnamon and cloves......if that helps.
