Fingerfood ideas?!

Question:

Fingerfood ideas?

We are having an office party/meeting and are all asked to bring in a fingerfood. I would love to bring something fun and different but good. Any ideas? Thanks

Here is something you may not have heard of. You could make them the night before, and heat them at work if you have the facility, or can bring a sandwich press from home or borrow one.

Cheese Rolls.
Spread sandwich bread with butter or margarine and sprinkle with grated tasty cheese and fold into 3.
Place under a heated grill, and toast turning when the first side is done. Spread with butter on the top and serve.
Options; add some spring onions, chives or garlic chives, spread bread with butter and vegemite, or make with cold mince.
Options; To toast, use a sandwich press, George Foreman Grill etc.

You could make the Sausage Rolls the night before and reheat if possible.

Sausage Rolls.
Flaky or Short Pastry.
450 g tube of Sausage Meat.
Diced Onion.
Mix sausage meat and onion with about ? cup of water.

Take one sheet of pastry and lay on the filling in the centre third.
Fold one side over and brush the other with water and press on top.
Turn over and cut into rolls 3’’ long or cut into 3 or 4.
Make 3 cuts on top of each roll and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Brush with milk and bake about 30 minutes at 215C (425F), in a pre-heated oven.

INGREDIENTS
cooked ham slices
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
dill pickle spears
DIRECTIONS
Lay the ham slices on a flat surface and spread with cream cheese. Place one pickle on each ham slice. Roll the ham slices tightly. Cut into bite sized pieces and serve.
this is delicious well it was when i ate meat lol. enjoy

here is something tasty, that everyone will like, Make finger sandwiches, Cut off the crust of bread on all 4 sides, make a little square, put on each bread or square cream cheese, spread cream cheese and green olives, and fill the rest of the cream cheese on stalks of celery on the side, its tasty its good its simple

i got this off of yahoo answers when i needed a superbowl recipe...and i was so pleasantly suprised, it was really good and simple.....mix one tube jimmy dean bulk sausage, one package of jiffy corn muffin mix, and one regular sized package of shredded cheddar. roll into balls of whatever size you would like and just bake them at about 350 till they are browning and crusty on the outside....they are soo yum. for something lighter, top melba toast with cream cheese mixed with dill and lemon, then top with cucumber slice.

a tray of crackers, cheese, and a type of sliced meat is always good!

chips, poi (nevermind, you wouldn't want to share poi) um, some of those little pizza things.

those mini powdered cake doughnuts

I call these Wagonwheels. Only 3 ingredients, very simple, and 99% of Americans have never had it.

Get some turkey pastrami, sliced to about the thickness of a nickel. Get some creme cheese, either regular or light, but not whipped. Get a jar of Talk o' Texas pickeled okra - get the regular ones, not the hot ones. If your grocery store has them, they will probably be near the pickles and olives.

Prepare the okra by rinsing, and cut off the crown and the tip. Set aside to drain on a paper towel.

If you're using regular creme cheese, you'll want to take it out of the 'fridge to soften a little.

Spread a thin layer of creme cheese on a piece of pastrami. Put the okra on it (crossways) and roll it up. Place seam down in a plate, and refrigerate for an hour or two.

Since this is for an office party, you could get up early and do this, if you have a 'fridge at work. If you prefer, you can to it the night before, and refrigerate overnight.

When you're ready to serve, cut crossways into circles about 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick.

focaccia

Really simple but really tasty, take a cocktail stick and put on half a cherry tomato then some wafer thin chorizo and then another half of cherry tomato, sprinkle with salt and serve, very easy to make and really tasty - look good too. easy to nibble too.

Take a cheese platter with a choice of cheeses, fruits (grapes, pineapple pieces, melon wedges), olives, salamis, crackers etc. Don't forget some sharp knives
