Question:

Good way to bake Tilapia?

what's a simple healthy recipe or way to cook Tilapia?

Answers:
Dam my mom knows a really good recipe.

take the tilapia put some onions pepper cilantro and lemon juice (fresh) and wrap it together in tin foil. Put on the grill for about 5-10 min, and serve it with a potatoes or something

Blackened Tilapia

4-6 Tilapia
2 Tbls. Paprika
2 tsp salt
2 tsp lemon pepper
1.5 tsp garlic powder
1.5 tsp ground red pepper
1.5 tsp. dried, crushed basil
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 c. unsalted butter, melted

Heat iron skillet on high 5 minutes. Mix all seasonings in a bowl. Dip fillets in melted butter and coat with seasonings. Place fillets in hot skillet and cook 2 minutes on each side. Makes 4 servings

Crush up tortilla chips to make a "breading." Season fillets with salt, pepper, garlic, and chile powder. Coat with the chips and saute or bake.

Just put a little bit of lemon juice (or olive oil) & lemon pepper, and some parsley. And bake it 350, for maybe 10-12 minutes.

I get this fish all the time, (it's a cheap white fish & hard to mess up) and my mind is going blank. duh. I did do a topping once, probably not so healthy. I think it was mayo, horseradish, a little bit of cornmeal, parsley, parm chesse, lemon juice, salt & pepper. Sometimes I just like to root through the fridge & see what I can come up with!!

Anywho, put the mixture on top of fish, bake it & the last couple minutes switch the oven over to broil to make the top crunchy.

You can use that on steak too. (put mixture on top of steak after you turn it) Just use less mayo & more horseradish, some cornmeal, a little parm cheese, garlic powder maybe, salt & pepper. It's tasty.

Hmmm... Tilapia has become a most popular fish these last few years. I prepared it last week for the first time and it was very very good- Found the easy recipe in a light cooking magazine: Spread a tiny bit of low fat Mayo over the top of the fillet and sprinkle with Parmeson cheese on top of this to your liking. Broil for about five minutes or so... til the fish flakes easily. I do not like Mayo but this was quite tasty and I certainly will prepare it the same way again.
About ten fish fillets came frozen in a plastic bag- I cooked 4 fillets and placed them in a bowl of cold water to thaw for around 15 minutes before placing them in the oven on foil covered cookie sheet sprayed with Pam. Yes they were good!
My bro who is always diet health conscious to a fault, boils Tilapia in shallow water (maybe this is poaching) and he will spray the fish with 'I Cant Believe Its not Buter spray' (0 fat) and squeeze a little lemon juice on top before he eats it. He claims this is tasty as well as healthy.

make some foil packets with it. put some fresh veggies in there - asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers - whatever you like. season everything up with salt and pepper and any other seasoning you like (some cajun seasoning or lemon pepper is always good) and put a couple thin slices of lemon on top. then wrap it up like a christmas present and make sure nothing can leak out. throw it in the oven (about 350 degrees) for around 15 minutes (check it a few times to make sure it is done), unwrap it and it is a full meal!

Olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and lemon

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ONE OF MY PERSONAL RECIPES

3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus 2 teaspoons
4 anchovy fillets, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoon thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon orange zest
6 (6-ounce) skinless tilapia fillets
Salt and freshly ground pepper

Cook the butter and 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil in a heavy medium saucepan over low to medium heat just until the butter is melted, stirring frequently. Add the anchovies and stir until the anchovies dissolve, about 2 minutes. Add the garlic and cook just until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Remove from the heat. Stir in the orange juice, basil, and lemon and orange zests. Season the sauce, to taste, with salt.
The bagna cauda sauce can be made 1 day ahead. Cool, then cover and refrigerate. Rewarm before using.

Meanwhile, preheat oven to 200 degrees F.

Sprinkle the fish with salt and pepper and brush both sides of the fish with remaining 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil. Working in 2 batches, fry the fish until just opaque in center, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer fish to platter. Cover with foil and keep warm in the oven while cooking the second batch of fish. Drizzle the sauce over and around the fish and serve.

I INVENTED THIS RECIPE AND NOW IT'S USED ALL OVER THE WORLD AROUND MY FAMOUS RESTAURANTS

Fresh fish or thawed out.
Olive oil &1 tspn. butter
Frying skillet
Fresh onion diced or thin rings
Fresh ground pepper

Heat up skillet with the oil & pat of butter, add onions until they start to carmalize, drop in fish and add pepper. Fish is turned over 1 time to complete the cooking on both sides. When fish is done, it will be flaky. Delish!

Easy baked Talipia

Preheat oven to 400 deg F.

Spray baking pan w/cooking spray. Put talipia fillets in baking pan in single layer. Sprinkle with lime juice, and seasoning of choice. (I like Italian seasoning). Bake for 10 minutes.
