How to cook stuffed onions?!

Question:

How to cook stuffed onions?

Answers:
Hmm, depends on what method you use. I would wrap them well in foil with a little olive oil or butter brushed on them, and either bake them or grill them. They would probably turn out better on the grill though. Test for tenderness after about 20 minutes (and 350 degrees if using the oven), and remember it will take longer for the inside to be done than the outside, so poke the fork in there to about the center to see how much "give" the onion has. If it's easy to poke through, it's done.

Sounds good, what are you stuffing them with?
If you don't wrap in foil, the outside will probably burn before the inside is done, just fyi.

stuff them and then boil them. try chacha.com

Stuff your onions with whatever you like. I would wrap them loosely in foil with seasoning, a little water, and then put them in the oven. Cant tell you how long they will take, but you an keep checking them until they are to your satisfaction. Also, if you like them crispy, open the foil up towards the end of the cooking procedure and they should crisp up, especially if you drizzle a little olive oil on them. I think I will try this recipe myself!!

Peel them and empty the insides with a melon ball utensil.
Use the insides to sauté the stuffing.
Plunge the shells into boiling water for about 5 minutes.
Strain them well.
Stuff them with whatever you had in mind.
Put them in a greased baking dish and bake until browned and the stuffing is done.
Top with cheese if you like and grill it, this will depend on what you've put inside. Half a glass of white wine in the dish is good too... all depends on the stuffing you use.
Make sure the filling is moist enough to keep it all juicy.
Have a good one.
