This one's easy to make, tastes good and looks more impressive than it is. I usually serve it with a side of grilled asparagus or steamed broccoli with garlic and red pepper flakes.

There used to be a Betty Crocker cookbook for kids that gave full recipies for everything, including full meals, but the recipies given were nice an easy to follow and fun to make. You might want to check Amazon or a bookstore to see if they have one anymore.
In the meantime, here is a website I tracked down. This one has a bunch of good recipies on it - just ignore the ads at the top of the page and scroll down a bit.

My daughter won a 4-H cookoff with this recipe.
You need some cleaned, skinless chicken - she used 4 breast sections. Take a small box of corn flakes (plain) put into a big ziploc bag, close the bag and mash the flakes up really good. Now take 2 eggs and crack them into a bowl and beat them with a little milk and salt and pepper. Dip your chicken pieces in the egg mixture, and then one by one shake in the crushed corn flake bag - coat well. Put these chicken pieces on a cookie sheet sprayed with non stick coating and bake for 45 min to 1 hour @ 350 - make sure chicken is cooked through. This will go good with it - take 1 potato for each person and wash well under cool water, scrub with a vegetable brush if you have one or rub with a clean wash cloth under the water to really clean the potato peel, dry with paper towels. Now cut pieces of aluminum foil big enough to wrap potato in. Rub butter all over potato peel and prick with fork in a few places. Now wrap you potatoes in the foil. I would actually cook the potatoes in the oven first for 1 hour on the wire rack and then place in a bowl covered with aluminum foil to keep warm, then bake your chicken. Now open a bag salad and you can butter your baked potatoes and serve your oven fried chicken. It takes some time, but is well worth it.
This are some easy and tasty recipes for you that will surprise you parents it doesn't look childish .But i know it would be so easy for you to do it.Good luck as you prepare it:
