Fondant. Did you watch it on Sunday? I saw the previews of the lion's head falling off so I had to watch it. All that hard work for nothing. I do think the judges go a bit far on their rules. I mean, how can you create licorice when you only have 7 hours? And so many chefs have lost their masterpiece when moving it to the table at the end. This is very unfair. I think the prize should be higher than $10,000 considering the Pillsbury bake-off grants a million dollar prize. These chefs are far more talented and deserve the proper recognition.

fondant

hehehe, it's called fondant. It's actually a form of icing made of sugar syrup and glucose, which is cooked to a specific temperature and then kneaded to a smooth, soft paste. This paste can then be colored or flavored and used as an icing for cakes. I've tried making it once- it's a lot of fun to work with!

fondant and you can find it in your local craft store (like Michaels) and some grocery stores carry it.

fondant. Try Michael's Craft Store. I took a cake class and learned how to use fondant. You can always buy some and experiment.

Fondant...great stuff...I use it all the time..it works great as long as you are not working near/around/on a hot surface or in a hot room!
