I would be useing egg noodles. I've had a couple people tell me that it would be 3 cups of dry to make 3 cups of cooked. Don't noodles expand and get bigger when you cook them?. That's why I was wondering how much dry to how much cooked.

1 cup uncooked equals 1-3/4 cups cooked

Roughly, it would be 1 3/4 cups of uncooked for just over 3 cups of cooked.

I think it's the same dry or cooked, maybe use a little less than three cups dry.

uhh, 3 cups?

Yes it will expand. 3 cups dry doesn't equal 3 cups cooked.

10.5 oz. uncooked egg noodles = 3 cups cooked (approximately)

Measuring Pasta

Most dried pasta doubles in volume when cooked. For accuracy, measure pasta by weight rather than by cup. Cooked pasta can be measured by volume. The general rule is one pound of dry pasta or freshly made pasta will serve six as an appetizer or four as a main course.

4 ounces of uncooked pasta (1 cup dried pasta) equals 2 1/2 cups cooked elbow macaroni, shells, rotini, cavatelli, wheels, penne, or ziti.

4 ounces of uncooked or a 1-inch diameter bunch of dry pasta will equal 2 cups cooked spaghetti, angel hair, vermicelli, or linguine.

I am guessing they double in size so go with 1 1/2 cups for 3 when done...

It should say on the bag itself. I believe it woudl all be different as far as how thick the noodles are and such.
Maybe look by the calorie count area on the bag and read the fine print.
