Does anyone have A GREAT PANCAKE RECEIPE?!

Question:

Does anyone have A GREAT PANCAKE RECEIPE?

I HAVE TRYED QUITE A FEW PANCAKE RECEIPES THAT TASTE BLAND OR WAY DRY AND EVEN A BIT TOOOOO THICK.. AM LOOKING FOR ONE THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE RIVERS OF SYRUP TO PROVIDE THE MOISTURE AND FLAVOR.

I know this sounds crazy, but...

Unless you wants to start from scratch, and I don't usually have time to, I use the recipe on the back of the Bisquick box. It's the one that adds lemon juice and baking powder. They come out lighter and airier. Use more milk if you like thinner pancakes (I do).

I use a mix that says "just add water". I think its Hodgson's Mill. I usually mash a banana or two with my hands and incorporate it in the mix. Mmmmm....tasty! Cinnamon, cloves, and/or nutmeg makes a nice flavor as well.

The 1-1-1 recipe!

1 cup of flour, 1 cup of milk, and 1 egg...

Heat a bit of butter over medium heat; drop the batter into big wide circles and cook for a minute or two on each side.

Add a bit of sugar, maple syrup (real Canadian variety please!) or honey to the batter if you like...

If you're feeling adventurous, add chocolate chips or chopped fruit! I personally like peaches or bananas in mine...

Bon appétit!

My favorite come from Jiffy- and my secret is that I add vanilla...ooops, guess it's no longer a secret!

I usually use the "just add water" Krustez pancake mix or basically any of them. I add some vanilla to the batter for added flavor. A friend who manages a Waffle House told me that's what they do there.
