If you want just walnuts omit the cashews and replace them with more walnuts
Karachi Halwa
Ingredients:
1 cup semolina
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup ghee
5 cardamoms, powdered
1 teaspoon pineapple essence
1/8 cup cashews, broken
1/8 cup walnuts, coarsely powdered
3 tablespoons water
Prep:
Soak semolina in 1 1/2 cups water for half an hour.
Drain off excess water.
Keep aside.
Microwave 3 tbsp ghee on HIGH for 30 seconds uncovered.
Add cashewnuts and microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes uncovered.
Remove cashewnuts onto a separate plate.
Add sugar to the same ghee and 3 tbsp water.
Mix.
Microwave on HIGH for 2.
5 minutes uncovered.
Stir once in between.
Add semolina, remaining ghee and cardamom powder.
Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes uncovered.
Stir once in between.
Add essence, walnuts and cashews.
Mix well.

Walnut Halwa
Ingredients:
1 cup ghee or oil
1\2 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 cups milk powder (full cream)
4 - eggs, lightly beaten
400 ml milk, condensed
2 cups walnut halved, chopped
How to Cook:
1. Heat ghee and cardamom?s powder in a heavy based skillet until warm, add milk powder and stirring constantly fry milk powder over low heat for about 5 minutes or until light brown. (Don?t over fry, otherwise milk will burn).
2. Add beaten eggs and stirring constantly, cook until the mixture is dark brown, about 5-8 minutes.
3. Add condensed milk and cook until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and thick, about 3 minutes. Add nuts stir fry for one minute and remove from heat.
4. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased pan, sprinkle chopped walnuts and press with the back of a metal spoon.
5. Using a sharp knife mark squares and keep aside to set. Cut through the scored lines and transfer to serving plate.
This recipe serves 6 people.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes.
Cooking Time: 20 minutes.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Bring water and molasses to a boil in a saucepan. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a separate saucepan over low heat. Stir in the flour and cook, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes until the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Pour the molasses mixture into the flour, stirring to form a ball. Fold in chopped walnuts. Drop onto waxed paper by the spoonful, and allow to cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container
