Hi there!
When using spoon measurements - it is accepted that a spoon is not flat when you measure! - but rounded when filled!
otherwise the recipe would state this!
A Tablespoon of Coffee is just the same as any other dry
product - so your 2 does equal 2 regular!
1 Three teaspoons equals 1 tablespoon.
2 Four tablespoons equals 1/4 cup or 2 fluid ounces
3 Three- Eight fluid ounces equals 1 cup.
4 FourTwo cups equals 1 pint.
5 FiveTwo pints equals 1 quart or 32 fluid ounces.
6 Four quarts equals 1 gallon or 128 fluid ounces.
7 Three and one-half gallons equals 1 barrel.
8 Two barrels equals 1 hogshead.
Convert Measurements Within the Metric System
1 Ten milliliters equals 1 centiliter.
2 Ten centiliters equals 1 deciliter.
3 Ten deciliters (or 1,000 ml) equals 1 liter.
4 Ten liters equals 1 decaliter.
5 Ten decaliters equals 1 hectoliter.
6 Ten hectoliters equals 1 kiloliter.
Tips & Warnings
The metric system is very easy to learn. It takes a basic unit of measurement (meters for distance, liters for volume, grams for weight) and then adds prefixes for smaller and larger quantities.
"Milli-" is one-thousandth, "centi-" is one-hundredth and "deci-" is one-tenth of the basic unit of measure (liters, in this case).
"Deca" is 10 times, "hecto" is 100 times and "kilo" is 1,000 times the basic unit of measure (liters again).
Convert Between U.S. and Metric Systems
Steps
1 One teaspoon equals about 5 milliliters.
2 One tablespoon equals about 15 milliliters.
3 One fluid ounce equals about 30 milliliters (29.573 ml).
4 One cup equals about 240 milliliters (236.584 ml).
5 One quart equals about 1 liter (0.94635 L).
6 One gallon equals about 4 liters (3.7854 L).
Tips & Warnings
Use approximations for easier conversions between the U.S. and metric systems.
I hope this helps!
3 teaspoons equals 1 tablespoon
3...although I could swear when I was growing up, we were taught it was two...but then, Pluto was a planet then too. LOL
I use 2 and a bit dessert spoons to equal a tablespoon. I think there are 3-4 teaspoons in a dessert spoon, so that would be about 9 by my not very scientific calculation.
Three teaspoons = One tablespoon
3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon
