So simple and so-o-o-o good.
Once they are boiled you can do any number of things with them. Shrimp cocktail, shrimp salad, shrimp dip. But I like'um boiled.
fry with olive oil adn add garlic salt
McCormick Southwestern Chipotle seasoning
Brush olive oil over shrimp after deveining etc...then sprinkle the above seasoning over it and grill or broil.
wrap with bacon and put on skewer. put in oven or put on bbq.
saute with olive oil and lots of fresh garlic -- serve alone, with rice, or over angel hair pasta
stir fry (no need for a wok for this) with a variety of fresh vegetables, seasoned with soy and ginger
if you have jumbo shrimp, brush with olive oil and grill, or make kabobs (just add whatever veggies you like) and grill
Boil for 3 minutes.
Shell.
Put in non-stick skillet with Olive oil, garlic (salt, sliced, minced or whatever), butter. Pan-fry 3 minutes.

Dump it in a flour and fry it. I like it.
Shrimp Cocktail.
Saute in Vegetable oil. Once cooked, melt some butter with capers and a little chili paste for a dipping sauce.
1. Shrimp scampi: butter, white wine, fresh garlic and parsley. Simmer in the above until shrimp is pink. Serve with linguini and fresh parmesan.
2. Shrimp and Cocktail Sauce
3. Shrimp on the Barbie: Thread jumbo shrimp on skewers, four to a skewer and barbecue until pink. Brush with Italian dressing or melted butter during process.
4. Shrimp salad: Chop cooked shrimp, add 1/2 cup diced celery, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1 cup good mayonaise, 1/2 tsp Worcestershire, and a squeeze of lemon.
5. Shrimp salad #2: On a bed of lettuce place cut tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots, small cooked shrimp, hard cooked egg, and sliced black olives. Serve with Thousand Island Dressing.
6. The Ultimate Omlette: 6 eggs, beaten with milk, 1/2 tsp kosher salt, 1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper, 1 tsp fresh dill weed, 1 3oz block cream cheese, 1 cup salad shrimp, 3 T butter.
I love shrimp and use it in a variety of sauces for pasta as well as plain with a simple squeeze of lemon. Enjoy!
satue in garlic butter dill lemon pepper it only takes a couple of min when shrimp turns pink its done
korkie
Mix with pasta or marinara sauce (from the grocery store), add onions and bell peppers, and pour over spaghetti. Easy and good!
First, decide if you want to boil or stir fry. A combo will result in shoe leather, especially since shrimp cooks SO quickly.
If you really want a fast, simple dinner, boil shrimp in beer. Bring a bottle or can of beer to a boil with a cup or two of water. Cook approx. 5-6 min, until pink but not translucent. (easy to try one). I am not a beer fan, but it adds a perfect flavor. Then just serve and peel hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.
Any shrimp stir fry is simple and yummy. The most effort is peeling the shrimp. If they are larger than the small one (btw smaller shrimp tend to be sweeter). Once you get above approx 40-50 per lb, you will need to de-vein them. This is super easy when you get the hang of it. Just cut the back 2/4 of the way down, use the knife and peel out the vein. A handy tip is to keep a paper towel handy and just run the knife on there.
There are all sorts of stir frys and scampi's. Melt some butter (I can't believe it's not butter works ok too), I use half extra virgin olive oil and half fake butter, fresh garlic, shallots (onions if you must but shallots add a far better flavor). Stir fry until translucent. I usually lightly flower the shrimp so it will make a sauce. From here out you can do all sorts of things with it. Add peas and serve over pasta. Add some white wine,Worcestershire sauce and few drops of hot sauce some parsley and it's the best scampi I know! (that recipe honestly came from a 4 star restaurant!). I esp like that over Rice a roni Rice pilaf.
Those are my favs, but you can think of what you like and what you have in the house and substitute. Instead of peas you can use asparagus. I've added fresh basil and made a scampi sauce, added some veggie and it was awesome. Play around with the ingredients I listed, and use various spices to taste. If you really want this to whip up quickly just have everything cut up ahead of time. The stir fry only takes a few minutes (put up the rice or noodles earlier too).
Another super easy thing to do is Shrimp kabobs. Alternate Shrimp, cherry tomatoes, cut onion, and anything you enjoy, like asparagus. These are awesome on the grill, but can be made under the broiler in your oven. And to add flavor you can brush with either a store bought marinade of any flavor or make one yourself.
Enjoy!!!!!
