Quick/Delicious recipee to impress a DATE?!

Question:

Quick/Delicious recipee to impress a DATE?

I'm 21 and I want to impress my new girlfriend with a badass dinner. Let's keep it simple, since I'm not too knowledgeable. Also please explain the lingo thoroughly...as I didn't even know what "pan-seared" meant until a few months ago.

I was thinking something along the lines of....like a Chicken Fetucchin (spelling) Alfredo. Appreciate the help and time!

Well, you can cheat a little. You can buy Alfredo sauce in a jar and add the chicken. I suggest you bake chicken breasts in the over at 375 for about 25 to 30 minutes. Season with a little lemon pepper before you put it in the oven. Cut the breasts into cubes when it is done. Add to the alfredo sauce and slowly simmer, cook on a very low flame, in a pan as you cook the pasta. You want to follow the directions carefully. Try not to over cook your pasta. Add a nice slice of garlic bread, and salad. You can buy salad in a bag and put it in a bowl before she gets there. I think the baby spring salad is the best, add some glazed walnuts, cubed apples, and dried cherries or cranberries. Add a nice light vinegar and oil dressing to the salad. For dessert, serve fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. You can even put some sweetened condensed milk in a nice bowl as a sauce; for a chocolate sauce put Hershey's syrup in a nice bowl. Enjoy!

Chicken Fettucine Alfredo

2 chicken breasts
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup parmesan cheese
fettuccine pasta
1/2 cup butter
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch onion powder
1 pinch cajun seasoning

1.cube chicken and cook in 1/4 of butter. When chicken is cooked, take out and strain. Add remaining butter and melt in pot. Add cheese and milk. Add seasoning to mixture. Add back chicken to pot. Cook noodles on back burner. When noodles are cooked, strain and add back to noodles. Mix and Serve!

Italian Garden Salad

1 bag (10 oz.) mixed salad greens
1 small red pepper, sliced
1 small zucchini, sliced
1/2 cup sliced red onion
1/2 cup pitted ripe olives, drained
1/2 cup KRAFT Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing

TOSS greens with vegetables and olives in large bowl. Add dressing; mix lightly.

hope this helps and good look with your date

make her a tall glass of shut the hell up

Make sure what your date likes to eat? You are thinkin about pasta n chicken, what if your date turns out to be a pasta-hater and a vegan ;-) lol just kidding. But, casually ask her what she craves for most of the time... like mexican, italian, japanese, chinese, thai or whatever ... and cook accordingly. Please avoid food with too much cheese and garlic. ;-)

easy get pre-made Alfredo sauce, grill chicken with a little salt, pepper, garlic. boil noodles, slice chicken, plate pasta with sauce on top then neatly place chicken on top, garnish with a little bit of chivies or fresh parsley, serve with a simple tossed salad, and garlic bread/sticks.

You want to impress her? Take animallover1338's recipe and modify it as follows. Replace chicken with 1 pound tiger prawns (#10) or bigger, quartered. Yum, yum

Instaed of regular salad, try grilling veges. Slice zuchini, squash, portabella mushrooms and red peppes. Rub with olive oil, salt and pepper. Grill a few minutes each side. Layer them on a bed of greens and top with walnuts and cheese of your choice. You can make this ahead of time. It has a real WOW factor.
