BREAKFAST STRATA

1 loaf whole wheat or white bread
1 lb. bulk sausage, browned
1 c. shredded Monterey Jack or sharp Cheddar cheese
2 c. skim milk combined with 6 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. parsley
Pepper to taste
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

May trim crust or left untrimmed. Butter each slice with softened butter.
Drain sausage thoroughly in paper towels or use 1 pound sliced ham or 1 can diced Spam or similar canned luncheon meat.

Prepare the night before.

Spray 9x13x2 inch pan or attractive casserole dish with Pam or similar non-stick spray. Line bottom of pan with as many slices of bread to fit. Sprinkle cooked sausage or layer ham slices or diced Spam on top of bread. Sprinkle half of shredded cheese. Layer with rest of bread and sprinkle remaining shredded cheese. Pour egg mixture over bread. Sprinkle parsley and pepper. Cover with foil and refrigerate.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake Strata covered for 20 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Continue baking uncovered until golden brown and set when tested with toothpick. Serve hot to hungry family for a breakfast treat.

CHEESE HAM STRATA

8 slices white bread
2 c. cheddar cheese, grated
3 c. buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 c. sliced ham, chopped

Alternate buttered layers of bread, cheese, and ham in a greased baking dish, ending with cheese on top. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over layers. Allow to stand one hour in refrigerator. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown on top. Cut into squares and serve.

you can try crock pot oatmeal

French toast... Sometimes I make extra french toast and then I freeze them. Here's a Breakfast casserole that I make. For the next morning just heat up a serving in the microwave.

Hashbrown Potato/Sausage Casserole
1 pound Brown & Serve link sausages (I prefer maple flavor)
2 pounds. frozen hashbrowns potatoes, thawed
10 oz pkg cheddar cheese, grated
8 oz. sourcream
1 can cream of celery
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 stick butter, melted
Brown sausage, and set aside. Mix all other ingredients together. Put in greased casserole. Bake at 350' for 45 minutes. Remove from oven, and place sausage on top. Cook for another 15 minutes. You can also use lil smokies or beef smoked sausage or kielbasa pieces instead of link sausages.

You can make scrambled eggs, a sandwich, pancakes, toast, liquado, or an egg sandwich.

Poha .......

there r man receipes that can be made prev nite. but try receipes that will have more nutrients even when u eat the next day

try chapatis...that the best of all ........very nutritious

anyways why do u want to make them prev nite?

You need Quart sized Freezer bags.
Mix 2 eggs, go ahead- squish them up in the bag - not the shells silly. Add any ingredients you want - green onions, mushrooms, cheese, etc. - what ever you need for your omelet.
Next morning, boil some water and throw in your bag (depending on how many) for about 12 - 15 min. You can tell when they are done because they are not runny. Great take and go omelet!!!

Depending on the occasion, or what type of breakie you want to have i have done these.

Breakfast Sausages - Keep in the fridge and microwave them hot
Bacon - Only works if you like your bacon soft, cook in the oven and store in the fridge, microwave to heat up
Tomato's - Grill and keep in fridge, place in pan in the morning to heat up

Eggs and toast i usually make that morning.

You can bake some Muffins and have some yogurt and a banana ready to go with it..

whatever the veg remaining the previous night is good for this next days breakfast recipe. preferably if u have grated/sliced cheese. then adds to the taste. apply the veg and cheese on bread and toast in in a grill toaster or on normal frying pan. yummy hot sandwiches ready in an instant. its very filling as well and makes u want more. have a lovely time making them.
in case u dont have leftover veg. u can mix boiled sweetcorn (which u get in tinned cans) and add a green chilli chopped along with 1 red/green/yellow pepper and cheese (grated or sliced). grill or make it on a frying pan. this chilli cheese sandwich tastes yummy esp when u come home tired and hungry with no energy to prepare food.

CHEESE, BACON & MUSHROOM QUICHE

4 eggs (beat)
1/2 pound cooked crumbled bacon
2 T. chives
1/2 cup fresh mushrooms
1 T. garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheese ( any kind)
3 T. flour
1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
salt and pepper to taste
(mixed fresh vegetable - green peppers, onion, etc)

Beat your eggs, put in your vegetables, and put in your flour so it does not get lumpy or mix with milk (so it will thicken when baked). Then add rest of ingredients and bake at 350 until knife is inserted and comes out clean. Allow to cool & refrigerate if not serving immediately. Can be served chilled or gently reheated in the microwave.

This is also a very good vegetarian pie if you omit the bacon.

BREAKFAST LASAGNA

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 bag (30 ounces) frozen Southern Style hash browns (or 32 ounce bag shredded), thawed
* salt and pepper
* 3 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
* 2 to 3tablespoons butter
* 12 ounces thinly sliced Canadian bacon
* 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
* 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
* 1 large yellow or red bell pepper, chopped
* 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
* 2 medium tomatoes, sliced, optional
* 12 large eggs
* 2 1/2 cup milk
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper

PREPARATION:
Spread thawed hash browns in a deep 11x14-inch lasagna/roasting pan; season generously with salt and pepper. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the potato layer.

In a large skillet, lightly brown the Canadian bacon slices in 2 tablespoons of butter; set aside.

In the same skillet saute the onion, peppers, and mushrooms until tender. Add a little more butter, as necessary.

Spoon vegetable mixture over the cheese layer. Top with sliced tomatoes, if using. Arrange slices of Canadian bacon over the vegetables, overlapping if necessary. Top with remaining cheese.

In a medium bowl, whisk eggs with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and the milk; pour over the casserole. Using a spatula, gently press all over to soak with egg mixture. Let stand for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat oven to 350°.

Bake casserole for 35 to 45 minutes, until set. Cool slightly before slicing. Allow to cool & refrigerate if not serving immediately. Can be served chilled or gently reheated in the microwave.
