Do you think fondant taste better than frosting/icing?
Answers:
You mostly use fondant to have that very smooth surface
you roll out the fondant and then add some icing to decorate
no mater how good you spread the icing it does not look as good as fondant
but if the cake is not for a special occasion I would use icing and not go to the trouble of using the fondant

Been a cook for many years
I had some yesterday and it did taste much better.
Personally I prefer the taste of decorator icing to fondant, but I think fondant looks neater and more professional.
