When feeding a group, Flounder, Talapia or Red Snapper are all good choices as they are very mild & most people like the taste.
You could broil it or fry it. I have a great recipe for Parmesan Flounder that is out of this world!

Salmon.
easy to cook, not to fishy tasting so even people who dont like fish will eat it.
you can buy good fillets, enough for that many(get six to eight ounces per person) as long as there are enough side dishes.
you can even get decent frozen portions in the freezer section, but I suggest going to the counter for fresher fish.
Grill or bake, a little lemon, butter and dill.
BAKED CATFISH FILLETS
6 catfish fillets
1 tbsp. butter
1 lemon, squeezed
1/4 c. sherry or dry white wine
1 tsp. lite soy sauce
Tarragon
Garlic powder
Paprika
Pepper to taste
Salt (optional) or salt substitute
Wash and dry catfish fillets. Sprinkle both sides of fish with garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika and a pinch of tarragon. Place "what would be skin side" down in a greased 9x13 inch pan.
Mix together juice of lemon, sherry and soy sauce. Pour over fish. Dot each fillet with butter. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30-45 minutes, depending on size of fillets. Baste fish once as juice thickens. Remove from oven with a little thickened juice remaining to baste fish. Or, can cook until juice evaporated. Either way is good.
BUTTERY-CRUSTED BAKED TILAPIA
4 6-oz boneless tilapia filets
6-8 Ritz crackers, crushed
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon adobo seasoning
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold
Arrange fish on a lined baking sheet. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers with seasoned salt, chili powder, and adobo seasoning (use clean hands to mix).
Cut butter into 6 equal pats. Place one pat a piece directly on the center of the tilapia. Cut remaining 2 pats into pea-sized pieces and mix by hand into cracker mixture. Sprinkle crumbs equally over each tilapia filet.
Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F for 15-20 minutes, or desired doneness. Serve hot on a nice platter.
i will go with everyone else and say salmon. i would ask what they like the best, from catfish to flounder and what not, unless its some kind of dinner and they are just there for a get together. sorry im not much help
Salmon is a classic, almost every loves it and its quite easy to cook as well.
If you would really like to impress people with more then just the run of the mill "fish dish" give this a try, Cod Roulade:
Cod fillet split length ways, (2 strips). While picking up your Cod look at the Scallops and the Crabcakes, if the scallops are "large sea scallops" then you have a choice of what you would like in the center of your Roulade, Scallop or Crabcake. Which ever you choose here's the method, you want your Crabcake or your Scallop the size of a golfball, they are the center, wrap the Cod around the center and tie with butchers twine, it will be a fish "hockey puck". Since you have 13, preheat your oven to 400 degrees, shake or dip each side with Creole seasoning and place them in a hot oiled skillet about 4 minutes a side, when really browned transfer them to a sheet pan and place them in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Your fish is ready to serve.
This goes great with steamed Asparagus and Mushroom Risotto, melted butter with garlic and dill is a wonderful topper for the Roulade. Enjoy
Garlic And Dill Salmon
Service 13ppl @ 7oz each
INGREDIENTS
3-1/2 (1.5 pound) salmon fillets
1-3/4 heads garlic, peeled
2 ounces fresh dill, chopped
3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon olive oil
1-3/4 teaspoons salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
In a food processor, process garlic to a rough mince, add dill and olive oil and pulse a few times to combine. If no food processor use blender or chop real fine.
Lay fish fillets in a baking dish, skin side down. Rub garlic mixture over fish. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. for 20 minutes.
Place on baking dish and roast at 450 degrees F for 20-25 minutes until salmon is opaque and flakes easily when tested with fork. Do not overcook.
Tilapia. It's very neutral to any palate and you can pan sear, bake, poach, or deep fry it. It goes well with pasta, rice & veggies, mashed potatoes, etc... The only "catch" is that it's extremely flaky and falls apart with the slightest touch. Treat it very carefully to maintain the right presentation (depending on your dish).
