Do you like cookies and what cookies do you like?!

Question:

Do you like cookies and what cookies do you like?

which ones bought or homemade?
what brands, and or what fav's that are homemade..or long time family or friend's or cookbook favorites?

thanks!

Answers:
I love homemade cookies. Oatmeal is my favorite. I use the recipe on the Quaker Oatmeal box. I only use real butter in the recipe and parchment paper to keep them from browning too much. I always lower the oven temp by 25 degrees and bake them a little longer than the recipe says...say about 12 to 14 minutes instead of the 9 it says. They are great~

Stable homemade cooke - oatmeal and raisin
Secret Family Recipe cookie - Fudge Drop
Store bought cookies - Oreo or Fig Newton

I don't do very many sweets personally, but when I do I love Keebler Pecan Sandies and I make my own White chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Would you like the recipe?
Both with a huge glass of milk

I really like homemade cookies. Espically Christmas Cookies like my family makes "Aunt Irenes Cookies". I also like Molasses cookies. I also do like ELFUDGE.

Chocolote chip hands down. Grandmas Monster Cookies really hit the spot too!

Really good chocolate chip cookies (homemade) are my favorite. I like brownie cookies too! You can get lots of wonderful recipes on the internet for homemade cookies.

I like to make dark chocolate with dark chocolate chips, oatmeal with chocolate chips & walnuts. I like to make different types of cookies also.

I like cookies but I don't bake or buy them very often. Target has a double chocolate chip cookie that is so delicious. It close to a homemade taste. It is so good and when you break it apart the chocolate oozes on your fingers. The cookie is soft and chewy. Did I tell you how good this cookie is, lol. I doubt they make the cookies themselves. If had to guess I would say. the cookie is by Otis Spunkmeyer. The cookies can be found at their snackbar.

I love cookies. My favorite is chocolate chip. I also have a recipe for peanut butter cookies that's good. My son & I created a peanut butter/chocolate chip cookie that's also good. Lofthouse brand is good if you buy cookies. Or a local bakery, even a grocery store bakery.

Homemade chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, especially ones that don't have too many chips and are not too soft (I know, everyone likes them soft and with lots of chocolate chips). My wife also makes some awesome snickerdoodles around Christmastime. My favorite bakery cookies are Linzer Tortes, raspberry more than strawberry.

I love homemade peanut butter chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven.. mmmm... the chocolate is nice and gooey and the cookie is so soft and warm!
I also love homemade sugar cookies right out of the oven! so sweet and yummy!

Homemade Mollasses cookies,My Mom used to make them.

I don't care for store/bought cookies. I make homemade. Cookies are one of my favorite sweets. Can't go wrong with choc. chip.

peperidge farm cookies. Most any of them , but mint.

Who doesn't like cookies? Yum! To me they are the perfect little snack. Although, I will eat store bought like Oreo's or Chewy Chocolate Chip, my fave are home made. Girl Scout cookies rock too! My fave are the Tag-A-Longs!!! Yum!! Anyways, here are two of my favorite home made cookie recipe's. These don't last long around my home. I hope you will try them out! Have a Blessed day! :)

Chocolate Boiled Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups quick-cooking oats (not instant)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts

In a saucepan over medium heat, cook butter, milk, sugar, and cocoa for one minute after it begins boiling.
Remove from heat stirring in remaining ingredients.
Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper and allow to stand unrefrigerated for 1 hour.

P.S. I leave the nuts out, but you could certainly add them if you like.

Paula Deen's Ultimate Oatmeal Cookies with Brown Buttered Icing

1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

For Glaze
1/2 cup butter
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3-4 tablespoons water

Preheat oven to 350°F Lightly grease cookie sheets. With electric mixer cream together butter, shortening and sugar in a bowl until fluffy. Add eggs and beat until mixture is light in color. Add buttermilk (it will appear a little curdled at this stage, don't worry).
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and allspice; stir into creamed mixture. Stir in oatmeal, raisins, walnuts and vanilla, blending well. (Dough will be soft and sticky).
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet. (I use a small cookie dough scoop that looks like an ice cream scoop--makes this job easy and ensures uniformly rounded cookies).
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Oven temperatures and size of cookies you make vary, so check your first batch at least by 9 to 10 minutes.
For Brown Butter Glaze: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then continue to cook, stirring occasionally until butter is a golden brown.
Remove pan from heat and stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir in enough water to make the icing of drizzling consistency. Drizzle over warm cookies.

P.S. These are almost better than sex!! Almost! :) Don't even think about leaving the icing off. They just melt in you mouth. Also, I like to cut back on the amount of nutmeg, but that is just my tastes. I hope you will try this one! YUMMY!!!!!

i like homemade better in general; but Braum's has good cookies too; most supermarket delis have good cookies as long as they're bought the day they were made;

Store bought cookies. I would have to go with the crunchy oatmeal snaps from Archway. They come in a bag. And, for homemade, I would definitely say my homemade chocolate chip with bits of toffee infused would be the best.
Well, I take that back. My grandmother tops the scale when it comes to her Butter Lutter, which is an old dutch recipe. It doesn't stay around long.

I like homemade because it is safe.

No bake cookies...mmmm..
you must try them. They have cocoa and peanut butter and quaker oats.

my grandma makes the best peanut butter ones, too.
glad i could help.
