How long do you cook stewing steak for?!

Question:

How long do you cook stewing steak for?

Answers:
Personally i cook it for at least two hours on a nice low heat with plenty of veg and gravy.

best cooked slowly for a few hours to get it nice and tender

the secret is to cook it slowly with adequate moisture. I lightly fry mine first to seal in flavour. The I place in oven with a pint of stock, sliced onions, diced carrot, diced Swede, sliced mushrooms and cook on gas number 3 for approximately 4 hours. The meat then just falls apart. Lovely.
This is how i do my stew!

slow for a few hours.
i usually crock pot it

slowly and for a few hours or until cooked

I like to cut it to very small pieces so it doesnt take as long to cook. The, I sear it first to brown it, pour on stock or water, onions, garlic, bay leaf and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

the longer and slower the better but if you have a pressure cooker you get really well cooked meat in around 20-30 mins and its tastier. if you use a normal pan a good 3 hours or so til the meat is tender - im hungry now..

On the top of the stove or in the oven it needs 2.5 -3.0 hours. If you cook it tonight it will be perfect to reheat for tomorrow. Slow and gentle makes it tender.

I put stew meat in the crockpot for 6-10 on low with a can of
muchrooms mixed in with it - then serve over egg noodles.

But your stew meat would be good and tender for whatever
you are using the meat for.

until it's done to your taste
