Make chicken taste better.?!

Question:

Make chicken taste better.?

I have been trying to eat low calorie and have been baking chicken breasts. Needless to say, I need to spice them up because I am getting tired of eating the same thing. What are some low cal sides that I can make along with them, and how can I spice up my chicken without adding any fat or calories?

Answers:
Try marinating them in some low cal zesty italian dressing overnight. MMM they are mouthwatering. Have you tried checking out the recipes on http://cooks.com/ ? They have any kind of recipe you can think of. Check it out.

Put some red rooster on that jive bird...

pepper and salt? salt and pepper, try that!

I like to use rotel and a little of the 2% milk velveeta cheese.. put it in a baking dish and bake it.

bbq the chicken.. or buy the chicken thats pre-seasoned.. those are really good.

I'm doing the same as you.. I usually eat brocolli n cheese as my side..

i add a little bit of salt and pepper, and marinate the thing with some corn starch and italian seasonings. Great for grilling or stir-fry.

You can 'brine' your chicken. This is in my opinion the most flavorful things you can do to chicken breasts, it adds nothing but sodium, but you can skip seasoning with salt later. Go get a flavor injector from your supermarket and give the chicken a few shots of saline, it will tenderize the meat and make it juicy and flavorful.

Use fresh basil & thyme, you can make lemon chicken by marinating it in lemon (or lemon/pepper chicken). You can also marinate it in things like bbq sauce or chile sauce. Broil or bake it.

try different spices, like Thyme or a Creole Seasoning.

Saute with veggies like squash/zucc/onions/peppers. SO GOOD!!!

Bake and top with a lite tomato sauce (lots of low-fat varieties) and serve with a side of wheat pasta.

Sautee with lemon juice/broccoli/tomato then wrap it up in a light wrap. or eat by itself. YUM! (one of my favorites)

lemon pepper..it's in the spice aisle.

buy FRESH happy no hormone free range ones

whole breast, bone in

then bake it for 90 minutes at 400F till it falls of the bones

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well the only thing your describing I could think of would be like...water. But a litle bit of like lite Italian dressings and stuff could make it good.

marinade the chicken in......italian salad dressing and a lite beer

mix one can of busch lite(or any other lite) and about 1/2 a bottle of kraft italian dressing, add a LITTLE crushed red pepper for a bit of zing, marinade in 'fridge for a couple hours then grill it up

MMMMMMMM!!!!!

B.

drop it on the floor a couple of times. its only 5 calories

I really love using franks red hot on my baked chicken cutlets. It's actually not that bad for you execpt for the sodium. it makes it taste like buffalo wings but much healthier.

add spices to the chicken.or you might wanna try vanilla carrots.basicly you just soak carrots in vanilla extract or something like that.you could find the recipe online but it is sooooooo good.

zip lock bag, add chicken breasts, 2T olive oil, add herbs spices, fridge for 1/2 hr, bake as usual.
try a different spice like tumeric

try brining your chicken 1st.

in 4 quarts water, add 1 tablespoon salt
4 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne powder

stir well..

soak chicken in this for 1-6 hours in fridge

the salt opens the chicken pours
the sugar coats the chicken to keep moisture in
and the cayenne adds some spicy flare.

this is a wash for the chicken, so the residual calories
are virtually nill. it's one heck of a tasty way to eat
the chicken, try grilling it instead of baking it.

It takes 4 Min's a side on a hot grill this way.

cant bake em in 8 minutes, that's for sure!

Good luck!

for chicken i usually get some margerine and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then i pour it on the chicken and i add pepper and garlic then i start cooking. As a side dish these are my recommendations 1. corn on the cob. 2. broccoli with melted cheese on top. Or rice with just a little dab of butter and peper. Hope this helps.

This adds ZERO cals & a ton of taste: skin the chicken, and bake in a mix of half soy sauce & half water. Sounds boring but its REALLY good!

Bake the chicken in fat-free Ranch or Italian dressing. Use spice rubs--they add no calories.

Make mashed potatoes with fat free broth & skip the butter to really reduce calories....have broccoli & cauliflower with lemon juice, cucumber salad with vinegar & splenda, or a small baked potato with salsa instead of the high-cal butter or sour cream.

A big bowl of fresh fruit is low-cal & refreshing..
