How meny chrisps can you make from one patato?

Answers:
Okay, here is some practical help, since you asked.

A crisp is very thin so get your sharpest knife. Wash your potato. I don't peel mine for crisps, but you might want to. Hold it firmly horizontally on a cutting board - a fork helps. Now start to slice very thinly from top to bottom, keeping the slices as even as you can.

Cutting freehand, you can probably manage slices of about 1/8 inch thick, so about eight slices per inch in potato length - more if you're using a mandolin or similar automatic slicer, which can cut them slimmer.

As you cut, put them in a bowl of water to wash off some of the starch, then dry very well on paper towels before frying them very quickly in your hot oil. Hope this gives you some idea of how many you can get.

Still laughing about the 'three' answer...

That depends on the size of the potato, it's really hard to say

Depends on the size of the potato and how thin you cut the slices...

Three. Just three.
