How do I cut against the grain on a tri-tip barbequed roast?
when looking at a tri-tip roast right in front of you with the long part of the meat left to right and the width part of the meat is up and down which way do I cut it? I hope this make any sense lol !!! thank you!

Tri tip is great because it is pretty forgiving in how you cut it. Most people I have seen cut it into equal thick slices from one end to the other, as you have described above. You can cut into strips if you wanted to, using a metal spear to push through the center hold the beef up and slice down ways. I have also seen people cut it up into cubes to serve. I love tri tip, so many uses, so forgiving, so good!
