to make it look the same size. reduce the amount dough in each ball by a little. u will end up w/ a couple more cookies
Strech it slightly.
Be careful, it might rip.
Otherwise, just buy some more cookie dough.
The more the better, right?

make smaller cookies duh
Unfortunatly, the only way you can truly make this batch stretch to make more cookies is to add more ingredients. If you don't want to make another batch, you can add nuts, candies, dried fruit, etc..... Feel free to use your imagination. If you have a bag of M&Ms - toss them in! A few nuts left in the can - add those, too. Raisins, chopped dried apricots, apple bits - anything.
If you decide to make another batch of dough, do this to make it easier. Make the new batch according to the directions and add the remainder of your first batch at the very end. Your older batch will get incorporated in your new batch without being beat to death by the mixing action.
As a professional baker, I have learned a million tricks to make things work at the worst possible moment. Although baking is an exacting science, you shouldn't be worried about experimenting. The worst thing that can happen is that your cookies suck - but you will learn what not to do, then.
Have fun and bake without fear.
