How do you keep chicken tender and juicy when grilling it?
Answers:
marinate it and DONT over cook it. that is the best way to ruin chicken. also, cook it with the skin on, even if you dont eat it. it has a huge part in keeping it moist.
Marinate it for 24 hours first. It's good marinated in Italian Dressing with some Worchistere or Soy sauce.
You don't over cook it.
Beer! Beer is the perfect marinade/basting juice for everything grilled. Coke is good too, especially for beef. Also an aluminum foil tent loosely placed over the meat helps retain moisture.
Marinate the meat.
Don't try to grill a 2" thick breast without slicing open first.
Use higher heat and get the cooking over with quicker.
When you want tender and juicy chicken, marinade is the best answer, it doesn't leave the chicken dried out, here are a few ideas:

I've also used aluminum foil and wrapped the chicken in, like pockets, and after they are fully cooked, I used the grill just at the last.
Hope this helps, good eating!
I cook mine slow and steady. Also you can cook on each side to sear them and that will help to maintane thejuicy and keep it tender. You can't be in any hurry and most important it is really easy to over cook and that will make it very dry.
my Boyfriend makes the best Grilled chicken EVER. his trick is to pre-heat the BBQ for 5 minutes on hi turn the heat down to med-hi
he cooks 5 minutes on each side 2 X's total of 20 minutes.
During the cooking process do not open the grill between turns.
we don't always marinate the chicken before cooking and it comes out juicy every time. I swear it is a fool proof plan.
i marinate befoe hand but i also baste with something while im cooking. you cab use a basting recipe but ive found that just brushing it with chicken stock works too
