i'm actually making some for dinner tonight. i made my marinade with crushed garlic, juice of half a lemon, 2 tsp white wine, pepper,1 piece of crystallized ginger cut up,1/2 tsp of sugar, and 3 tbs of miracle whip. skewer shrimp after marinating 1/2 hour to 1 hour. grill over medium heat until pink. serve with cocktail sauce.

yes, olive oil and cajun seasoning!!!! yum!!!!!!!!!!

Grilled Shrimp

INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds jumbo shrimp
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 to 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 bunch green onions, with a few inches of green, thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped parsley
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
Place shrimp in a glass bowl. Stir remaining ingredients together; pour over shrimp. Cover and marinate for 3 to 4 hours. Grill over hot coals for about 5 to 7 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time.
Serves 4 to 6.

Depending what you eat it with, Your favorite salad dressing will usually do well, even fresh salsa. But if you are not to sure about it, just use lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Margarita Grilled Shrimp
(makes 4 skewers)

Ingredients
1 pound medium shrimp, deveined and shelled
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 large cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of tequila
1 tablespoon of lime juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red chili pepper
3 tablespoons of cilantro, chopped

Directions
In a bowl, add olive oil, garlic, tequila, lime juice, salt, red pepper, and cilantro; whisk together. Add the shrimp to the marinade and coat well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes in refrigerator.

Place shrimp on skewers. Grill shrimp on medium until pink. Do not over cook.

Garnish with lime and cilantro.

yes! ginger, teriaki or soy sauce, and orange zest.

your favorite bottled vinagrette works fine -- you can kick it up with some lime and chili powder.

my favorite is just a little olive oil while you grill and then serve with a cilantro pesto -- just put a bunch of cilantro and garlic in a blender with some lime juice and add olive oil until its goopy.

you can probably find better recipes on the internet for cilantro pesto -- im not much of a recipe writer

Grilled Shrimp Scampi


Ingredients
1/4 cup light olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 Tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
2 Tbsp. Garlic Garlic?
Pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 1/2 lbs. peeled, deveined jumbo shrimp

Directions
In medium bowl, combine first 6 ingredients; add shrimp and marinate for 30 minutes. Remove shrimp from marinade; thread on skewers. Grill 2-3 minutes each side.

I like a simple marinade of olive oil and fresh minced garlic, some salt and freshly ground black pepper. Allow to marinate overnight and thread on some skewers and place on the grill. Drizzle with a little melted butter it's great!
