Recipe for vanilla and chocolate glaze?!

Question:

Recipe for vanilla and chocolate glaze?

I need a recipe for a vanilla and chocolate glaze that hardens ... and after being applied ... doesn't remain sticky. Friend gave me a recipe for some really delicious crisp cookies with a suggestion they glaze very well but no recipe for a glaze and I'm sure, the glaze is one that gets hard and not melt when picked up with the fingers. Drives me nuts when I have to lick icing or glaze off my thumb and fore finger.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk
DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, vanilla and enough milk to achieve desired consistency.

1 stick of butter, 2 Tablespoons of hersheys unsweetend cocoa powder and 1cup of powdered sugar...heat the butter until melted, add the cocoa powder stir then slowly add the powdered sugar until it forms into an icing consistency I am not sure how you could make the vanilla icing using the same concept but im sure you can use this recipe as a basis

I hope this will help, this glaze has worked for me,,,,,,,,,for the vanilla glaze take 1/4 stick oleo and gradually add powdered sugar into it till it is runny when you hold a spoon up and drip it down and then add a tsp of paraffin wax into this while the oleo mixture is hot, the paraffin waz will cause the glaze to harden, for the choc. simply melt choc chips in a double boiler and add the paraffin wax as in the above recipe.........good luck to ya and happy eating
