Can you fry things in castor oil?!

Question:

Can you fry things in castor oil?

like, replace vegetable oil with castor oil? (it is a type of vegetable oil, so I figure it would work.)

Answers:
In a Cast Iron frying pan!

Eww why would you want to?

I do believe that ingesting castor oil has the effect of loosening one's bowels.

Why yes, that's the case - check wikipedia.

You'll get the sh!ts.

In words of one syllable...NO; in words of two syllables, NEVER. There's cheapo 'vegetable oil' that is a generic blend of several types, there's cannola, there's peanut - most professional deep-fryer experts use peanut oil...doesn't smoke, stays clean and doesn't absorb odors. For everyday use, generic vegetable oil from the supermarket will do everything you need. Castor oil is a CLEAN-OUT DEPTH BOMB FOR HUMANS.

Please don't. Castor oil acts like basically a universal lubricant (not for down there, ew!) and laxative. It also doesn't sit well in the body - it has a tendency to gum up, and isn't absorbed well - likely why it makes a great laxative.

Goes to show why even though something is non-toxic, doesn't mean you should put it in your mouth.

if you are trying to eat healthier use canola oil it doesnt stay in your body. it passes on through

Nope Definitely not YUCK!!!
