How can I make homemade ice cream softer, so that it scoops easily?!

Question:

How can I make homemade ice cream softer, so that it scoops easily?

Answers:
Take it out of the ice cream maker a little earlier. My boyfriend likes his ice cream to be a little harder than soft serve so I only leave mine in the machine for about 20 minutes. After you take it out, put it in a bowl then into the freezer. The ice cream will get harder (about 30 minutes makes it fairly firm-almost like store bought consistency) but still scoopable

I like making homemade ice cream

nuke it for 10 seconds before serving....or add glycol

did your scooper in very hot water before you scoop the icecream

Microwave it a lil, lower the fat content and/or warm up your serving spoon.

Dip the scoop in near boiling water.

Try storing it on the freezer door. Mine is always softer when stored there.
