Sugar glider?!

Question:

Sugar glider?

can a sugar glider have lightning bugs?

Answers:
By "sugar glider" I assume you mean a type of small squirrel.

I don't know if lightning bugs are on the Approved List of foods for mammals. I know that in my area, at night I see bats flying around, as well as lightning bugs (especially at this time of year). But the bats never eat the lightning bugs.

It could be that the bats just don't like the taste, but maybe the bugs contain some kind of toxin that's bad for bats. Stick with feeding the glider crickets.

sure.... the same way a lightning glider can have sugar bugs.

Lightning bugs are on the lists of "absolutely not" items. I wouldn't feed my gliders insects I caught for the fact that they may contain pesticides or parasites, but lightning are a no no, no matter what...

Check out http://www.sugarglider.net - there are lists of safe and unsafe fruits, veggies, and other items like bugs. HTH!
