Make rice crispy treats, or some other baked goodies. You can try to soften them up by placing them in the microwave for a few seconds.

melt them and make rice crispy squares..or make chocolate marshmellow pie

You can microwave them (on a saltine cracker yum), on top smores or cook them for a recipe on the stove like rice-Krispy treats and they'll soften.

I love hard marshmallows to eat right out of the bag. I like to leave an open bag out to accomplish this. They'll melt for any recipe same as soft ones. You could try putting an apple slice in the bag with them, it will remoisturize them. If they need to be soft and aren't to be cooked [like to decorate a cake], then a fresh bag would be best, but the hard bag is still usable for quite a while for everything else.

Melt them (in microwave or over fire) or make s'mores with them.
