Above the ground pig roast without the spit?
I've heard of a pig roast cooked on cinder blocks

We've done several, but I've never heard of the cinderblocks. We usually dig a shallow pit or put it on our smoker for about 14 - 16 hours.......A lot of work, but man it's worth it - that meat will fall off the bone!!!
Cinderblocks may work- just plain rocks work. You have to make sure the pig is sealed in some type of covering that keeps in the moisture.
You can rent 'pig cookers' that use charcoal as the primary cooking medium.
Well most of the pit methods require a rock lined pit.
concrete cinder blocks (????)
that would be intresting to see
I assume the concept is the same??
blocks line the fire pit
the ash removed
pig on the blocks???
How did you keep the heat IN???
