No bake recipe for jumbo lump crab meat?
I have a pound of jumbo lump crab meat, and I want to make something for tomorrow - father's day. We're barbequing the rest of the food (ribs, chicken, and shrimp). Since it's going to be over 90 degrees tomorrow, I don't want to turn the oven on. What can I make with the crab - appetizer or main dish?

Thats funny I just made this today.... I would shred it then, cut up some celery, chop up some cheese (white american or swiss or monterey jack... I just don't like chedder with this recipe but cheeses are to the individual) add salt and pepper and two heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise... mix keep chilled with suran wrap... and then you have crab salad..
This recipe calls for half of your crab meat, you can double it if you think you will need it all.
COLD CRAB DIP
8 oz. cream cheese
4 oz. sour cream
1/2 grated onion
Paprika
Cayenne (red) pepper
8 oz. crab meat
Blend softened cream cheese with sour cream. Add onion and seasoning. Blend. Then add crab meat. Let stand at least 1/2 hour. Serve with butter crackers.
