How do you ensure that food does not stick to a deep-frying cage?
Food that I lover into the cage often comes out stuck to the wire cage. Any suggestions?
Answers:
If you put your food in the cage first, the food or whatever you coat it with will adhere to the cage and it will cook right on it.
So leave the cage in the fryer, then slide your food into the oil. It should develop the crust from the oil rather than the hot cage. When you lift it out they should all slide right out.
either put the basket in first and let it get coated with oil then put the food in or put the basket in and then slowly and carefully drop the food in...
I agree with others that you should leave the cage in the frier and add the food. One suggestion, though. Check your oil is hot enough, if it is then the food will be kept away from the cage by the buoyancy of the boiling oil.
