What is in donato's mariachi spice?!

Question:

What is in donato's mariachi spice?

What is in the spice used on donato's mariachi pizzas? What else tastes spicy enough to use if you don't know? Pizza is beef or chicken with cheddar, jalepeno, tomato, and that spice, thanks you

Answers:
There is no Donato's where I live, and I've never heard of a mariachi pizza. But one common "spice" I've seen at all pizza parlors is crushed red pepper flakes. It's a dried red pepper that is crushed and has the dried seeds in it. You can buy it at a grocery store.

I make my own ...

Mexican spice mixture

1/2 cup chili powder
1/4 cup Hungarian sweet paprika
1 Tablespoon ground cumin
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground dried chipotle chile pepper
2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
1 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
Whisk together chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, chipotle pepper, oregano, and salt until evenly combined.

Place Mexican spice mix in an airtight glass jar and store in a cool, dark place.
Use within 3 months. Shake before each use to re-combine.

Great in chili or on pizza. Sprinkle on beef, pork, or chicken before grilling, baking, or broiling.

Yield: about 1 cup
