Question:

Can you cook or prepare anything with mango peels?

Answers:
This is the only recipe including mango peels that I have ever seen.

The Tangier Tartini

2 ounces Charbay Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka
1 ounce guava nectar
1/4 ounce simple syrup
1/2 ounce tonic water
mango slice with peel, for garnish
Shake the vodka, guava nectar, and simple syrup over ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, top with the tonic, and add the garnish.

not anything that i have ever heard of

If it is the fleshy mango you can use the peels to prepare the sauce.or say gravy.Put the peels in a pan and put some water and use your hand to squeeze the juice and put that in another pan again add some water and squeeze. Do-this until the peel does not give any juice. To the squeezed juice add some jaggary and a little salt and put it to boil.thentake alittle corn flour or plain flour mixed with water and add it to theboiling juice so that it thickens .in a separate pan take 2 tsp oil .Heat it add to this1/2tsp mustard and 1/4tsp black lentil dal .1red chilli broken in to peices and 1 sprig curry patta . when the spluttering of mustard stops add this to the gravy.Instead of red chilli you can use 1 green chilli in the gravy when boiling.

i have never heard of anything that ultlizes the peels of the mango....but i suppose maybe you could kind of make a "mango stock" to extract the flavor and maybe make a simple syrup out of it....i dont know thats a tricky one

An unusual use is to make dried Mango potpourri...place peals in a single layer on cookie sheet. Bake in 150- 175 Legree oven over night. Combine with cinnamon sticks and cloves.
